Appeals, Enforcement, Reporting, ToxMod, and Age Verification
Our first responsibility is to protect our players from toxic or underage users, who can significantly ruin the experience for all players.
At Vegas Infinite we have high expectations for how we expect you to carry yourself. We understand that this is an adult game, and we will moderate and enforce it as such; however this does not mean all topics or subjects are appropriate.
When you are in our community and game, we expect you to be a positive and contributing member, and to help us provide an environment that is safe, fun, and inclusive for all players.
The below resources should provide you with more information around our Terms of Service, Community Standards, Values, and Moderation efforts:
Bans and Appeals
Why did I get banned?
All enforcement action taken by our Moderation Team is only done so in cases where there is clear evidence of violations. Our Terms of Service apply in all areas of the game, including when in private tables or in your personal suite.
Examples of behavior that you can be banned for include, but are not limited to, the following:
-
Accessing the game if you are under the age of 18. Vegas Infinite is 18+ only and any players found under this age are removed from the platform immediately.
-
Verbal toxicity, e.g. uttering racial, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, etc. slurs; sexually inappropriate content; violent and abusive language and/or threats; or language encouraging others to harm themselves.
-
As Vegas Infinite is an 18+ game, swearing and other adult language are not necessarily an offense you will be sanctioned for. However, all players have the responsibility to understand the difference between trash talk/banter and harassment.
-
-
Inappropriate behavior, e.g. using props, your avatar, and/or “pranks” to prevent other users from playing the game, or blasting audio content through your microphone to disturb other players.
-
Unsportsmanlike conduct, e.g. cheating, colluding with others, or chip dumping.
-
Using an inappropriate or offensive username or profile picture.
We will always strive to provide a general reason and length in our communication of the sanction. Sanctions can range from temporary to permanent, and can apply to VoIP access, prop/avatar use, Discord, and/or the game itself. Especially serious offenses can be escalated to your platform provider (Meta, Steam, or PlayStation), and/or local law enforcement.
We will never sanction users for providing legitimate criticism of the game on any platforms, or for leaving legitimate negative reviews/comments. As well, players who make in-app purchases or subscribe to our monthly Club membership are not exempt from enforcements; our enforcements are applied equally, and purchases or the amount of money spent are irrelevant to whether or not a sanction will be issued.
All players agree to and are responsible for following the General Terms.
How do I appeal a ban?
You will always have the right to appeal any sanction, and we will review your appeal. Please keep in mind that we are not obliged to share more details with you than you were provided when you were banned, in order to protect both game integrity and user privacy.
The best way to appeal your ban is by submitting a request through our Support Center. Our dedicated Customer Support team will review your request as soon as possible and will do their best to respond to you with a decision within 7 business days.
Please do not submit multiple tickets for the same request, as this may cause processing delays.
What happens after I appeal?
After submitting your ban appeal request, our Customer Support and Moderation teams will review your appeal. The details of the reason for the sanction will be reviewed, and your appeal will be considered. The ban will then either be lifted, reduced, or remain in place, depending on the individual circumstances. All decisions are considered final.
If submitting an appeal after being banned for being an “Underage User”, additional instructions will be sent to you to verify your age. The age verification process is provided by a secure third-party service provider, Sumsub.
Please note that failure to complete the age verification process will not provide us with sufficient evidence to overturn the sanction on your account. Both Vegas Infinite and our age verification provider treat the security of your account information very seriously. To find out more information about how your data is processed, please view Sumsub’s Consent to Personal Data Processing page.
We know that people can make the occasional mistake, so when a sanction ends or is successfully appealed, we believe welcoming people back into the game provides an opportunity for growth and education. However, if we’ve provided you with an opportunity to contribute in a positive manner and repeated negative behaviors occur, we reserve the right to permanently remove you from the game. Please be mindful of this as you go through the process of appealing your sanction.
I want to report another player, how do I do that?
Our dedicated Support Team is here to help at all times. If somebody is behaving in a toxic or abusive manner towards you, we definitely want to know about it and will always take action against bad actors. Additionally, Vegas Infinite is 18+ only, and anybody connecting to our software under this age is in violation of our General Terms and will be removed immediately.
Our team of Moderators protects our community by observing behavior and upholding the high standards we expect of players, including monitoring for underage users. Our Moderators are supported by ToxMod, which is integrated into the game for this purpose. If you find yourself in an uncomfortable situation, we encourage you to use the mute features in game, or leave the table entirely.
Player support is also greatly appreciated. If you need to report any violations of our General Terms, you can do so by using your remote (accessible with your Left Thumbstick), or by going to your Menu and tapping the current room location information at the top of this menu. In here, select “PLAYERS”, and you can then select the player and reason you wish to report.
You can also record video if convenient for you, then submit a report directly through our Support Center here. Our Support Team will review all videos submitted for Terms of Service violations.
ToxMod
Our goal is to provide a fun and inclusive experience for all our players. We want to make sure Vegas Infinite is safe for everyone, so we integrate ToxMod in-game to increase our ability to moderate toxicity in voice chat.
You can think of ToxMod as another player joining your table or lobby: just like another player, if ToxMod hears something toxic or problematic, it will submit a report. Neither our Moderators nor Modulate's team will ever have access to listen in on any conversations unless a report is submitted.
ToxMod runs directly on your device and will only ever send your data to us if potential harm is identified. Our team will always make the final decision about how, and whether, to issue a sanction.
Age Verification
We may use Sumsub, an online identity verification platform, to verify your age if we suspect an underage user has accessed your account. If you are sent the age verification process and fail to complete it successfully, we will not be able to overturn the sanction on your account.
Both Vegas Infinite and our age verification provider treat the security of your account information very seriously. To find out more information about how your data is processed, please view Sumsub’s Consent to Personal Data Processing page.
